Chief Mate opportunity aboard Classic 30m+ M/Y
We at Hill Robinson are seeking a Chief Mate who is dedicated to the Classic field! As this Motor Yacht is a True floating Museum … so if this is something what truly “floats your boat” then we are looking for you !
Start Date: March 2026
Itinerary: Western Med
Package: Competitive Salary paid in Euros / 60 days leave
Experience/Skills required:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Chief Mate on a similar sized yacht
- Possessing good navigational and watch keeping knowledge (including ECDIS)
- Strong varnish, paint and teak knowledge
- Must be a hands-on and proactive Mate with the ability to motivate and mentor the deck crew
- Excellent tender driving skills and the ability to drive for water sports
- Professional appearance with Fluent English (verbal and written)
Qualifications required:
- Yacht Master (Min)
- ECDIS General
- PBL2
- STCW (fully updated) with PDSD
- Seafarer’s Medical Certificate (with min 6 months’ validity)
