Summary
Private owner-operated motor yacht cruising the Mediterranean is seeking an experienced Captain for a long-term position.
This is a privately used yacht with no charter program. The owner is an experienced boat owner who enjoys being involved with the yacht and occasionally takes the helm himself. The position therefore suits a Captain who is comfortable working in a cooperative owner–captain relationship rather than a strict hierarchy.
The role requires a hands-on Captain who enjoys maintaining a yacht in excellent condition and actively participating in technical oversight and maintenance rather than purely managing contractors.
Responsibilities include safe navigation, passage planning, maintenance coordination, yard period supervision and overall management of the vessel.
The yacht is used by the owner and family with children, so the atmosphere on board is relaxed and family-oriented rather than formal charter service.
