Summary

Temp position that would suit a recently qualified OOW looking to build bridge time.

This is a dynamic relief position as it is covering 2 different crew members one after the other.

25th March to 15th April: Deck position (on a Bosun salary: EUR 5,250). Initially covering for one of the deck crew who needs to leave early before the end of the season for his mother’s wedding. This will be for our final guest trip of the Caribbean season. Great opportunity for a gradual hand over with the 2nd but I need to emphasise the successful candidate should get stuck-in on deck with a fast-paced watersports / beach setups / chase boat ops program for a couple of weeks. The inevitable high experience of the candidate will be valued highly as we have a demanding guest-based operation.

14th April: Relief Second Officer until the start of June (exact date TBC). This will include the Atlantic crossing and a brief shipyard period. Salary for this period is EUR 6,250 p/m.

Previous navigational watchkeeping experience is essential. Transatlantic passage plan can be done alongside the current Second Officer.

Admin knowledge a benefit: The role will include log keeping (GMDSS, garbage management, Official Logbook), ECDIS chart updates and ISM Checks as well as shipyard coordination on arrival (knowledge of Pinpoint a bonus).

Great crew onboard and opportunities to learn and gain exposure to an Officer position on a busy full-ISM vessel.

Requirements: Eligible to enter Europe (UK, EU or Shengen Visa holders).

The main requirement is that the person can commit for the full period once accepting. This is covering crew leave that can’t be adjusted and our minimum safe manning document requires an Officer for this duration.

OOW in-hand and all basic certification in-date.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Please apply with a cover note with your:
