Summary
Currently looking for a rotational captain for a 72m new build, being delivered in April.
The Yacht: Azipod (preference given to previous experience), Charter machine (fully booked until September without any marketing material), dual season.
The prospective captain: Excellent ship handling and safety should come as standard. This person should have an interest in, and be a hospitality expert. You will be expected to be present on deck and in the water with the kids. You must have a genuine interest in every department and help where it is needed. There will be no purser and never will be (we all know our admin isn't that extensive!). We have a fantastic crew, handpicked from my previous experiences, built upon mutual respect of each other. We will have a big media output onboard and the captain is expected to lead this with ideas and plan logistics to support it.
Everyone on board is very fit and active, and I expect that of the captains too. The crew are very sport-focused in any free time we have.
This position is for someone who genuinely cares about the yacht, program, owning family and crew. You will be looking for constant improvements in guest experience, crew dynamics and the yacht itself. If you want to come in and kick the can down the road for 2 months then go home, this isn't the role for you.
