Our client is looking for a dedicated domestic couple to assist in the smooth running of their Scottish Estate. The Estate is a secondary residence and so the ideal candidates will be more than capable and confident to manage the property without needing direction. The family visit a few times a year and may bring friends to visit, but the property is generally left vacant most of the year. Due to the remote location of this role, a genuine fondness of countryside living is essential, as well as a drivers licence.
Duties included but not limited to:
Housekeeping:
Day to day cleaning of the large country house.
Ensuring all rooms are kept in good working order
Caring for and preserving antiques and artwork.
Getting the house ready for family visits
Gardening/maintenance:
General maintenance and repairs of the house and outbuildings.
Maintaining the grounds to a high standard
Preparation and supply of fire logs.
Ensuring the gravel driveways and compost bays are well cared for.
