EXPERIENCED DECKHAND NEEDED FOR A 40m MOTOR YACHT (PRIVATE)

A 40m Private Motor Yacht is seeking a motivated and professional Deckhand to join the team. The vessel offers a fantastic owner and crew with an adventurous long-term itinerary in Southeast Asia.
Two deckhands are employed to facilitate a 92-day leave rotation. The crew is multinational, highly skilled, and maintains a positive and professional onboard culture.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in deck operations and water sports.
A high attention to detail, self-motivation, and willingness to take instruction are essential. Applicants must be confident tender drivers. Dive experience is highly beneficial, as the vessel regularly dives and snorkels with guests.
An RYA Yacht master is needed, as this role offers the opportunity to gain supervised OOW experience while underway.
The successful candidate will be positive, self-motivated, fun yet professional, and a strong team player. The vessel places strong emphasis on crew development and provides a dedicated training budget.
The yacht operates with a crew of 14 (9 on board at any time), with a deck team of three to four comprising the Chief Officer, Bosun, and Deckhand (plus one on leave).
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION
- STCW/ENG1
- Yacht master
- Additional advantageous skills include a dive qualification, e-foil experience, jet tender handling, and dinghy sailing experience.
- Excellent references are needed
- Driving licence needed
- Non smoker
PACKAGE
- €3,500 Euros per month x 12 months (90 working days probationary period).
- Leave: 92 days paid leave per year based around a 3 on/1 off ratio (economy flights included). The rotation normally works out, but vessel movements/itinerary means some flexibility maybe required on occasion
- Training scheme: Sponsored training scheme available.
- Bonus scheme: Yearly performance related bonus scheme in place. Good performance will be rewarded by a 1-month salary bonus with increased amounts possible for higher performance up to 3-months bonus.
