Position: Yacht Engineer – 30m Princess | Abu Dhabi | Private / Charter
We are seeking a hands-on, positive, and team-oriented Yacht Engineer to join a well-run 30m Princess based in Abu Dhabi. - Long-standing, highly regarded Captain who has been with the vessel for many years
The Role
This position is ideal for an engineer who understands the dynamics of a smaller yacht and thrives in a true team mentality environment. You will be responsible for the full technical management of the vessel while also being willing to assist on deck and support other departments when needed. Flexibility, humility, and a “no job too small” attitude are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- All mechanical, electrical, and technical maintenance onboard
- Planned maintenance schedules and record keeping
- Liaising with contractors, shipyards, and suppliers as required
- Assisting with deck operations, washdowns, and docking when needed
- Supporting interior or guest operations during busy charter periods
- Ensuring compliance with safety and flag requirements
Candidate Profile
- Minimum Y4 Engineer certification required
- Previous experience on 24–40m yachts preferred
- Strong all-round technical knowledge and troubleshooting ability
- Comfortable in a dual-role / multi-department support capacity
- Calm, professional demeanor with good communication skills
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Team player who values a respectful and drama-free crew culture
