Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Luxury Hotel / Marine Carpenter for a refurbishment project involving a unique luxury hospitality property constructed onboard a train.
Following severe weather and water ingress, the project requires the removal and replacement of internal woodwork using marine-grade plywood, with finishes executed to the highest luxury hospitality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Removal of water-damaged interior woodwork
- Installation of marine plywood and moisture-resistant materials
- High-end finishing, joinery, and cabinetry work
- Working within confined train carriage environments
- Maintaining strict confidentiality throughout the project
- Coordinating with project management and other trades on site
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a high-end finish carpenter
- Background in luxury hotels, yachts, cruise ships, or premium residential projects preferred
- Demonstrated experience with marine plywood or similar moisture-resistant timber systems
- Exceptional attention to detail and finish quality
- Ability to work independently and adapt to site constraints
Contract Details
- Fixed-term contract: 2–3 months
- Industry-related remuneration based on experience
- Start date: TBD but looking like it will start at end of March or the beginning April 2026
