FIRST MATE/JUNIOR CAPTAIN NEEDED FOR A 23m MY
Dates: May – September (Seasonal with the potential to become permanent)
Itinerary: Italy
We are looking for a First Mate/Junior Captain for this 25m+ Private Motor Yacht (New Build Ferretti) to work alongside the existing Captain, based in Italy.
The role involves assisting with the safe operation and navigation of the vessel while supporting the day-to-day running, including manoeuvring, docking, and anchoring.
Responsibilities also include cleaning, wash-down, and detailing of both exterior and interior areas, along with the ongoing maintenance and upkeep of the vessel, equipment, and onboard systems.
The position requires carrying out pre-departure and post-trip checks, assisting with guest operations when required while maintaining a professional and discreet presence, and working closely with the existing skipper to ensure smooth operations. In addition, the role ensures compliance with safety regulations and maritime standards and involves liaising with marinas, suppliers, and service providers as needed
REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION
- STCW/ENG1
- Yacht Master needed
- Must have some drive time
- Ferretti experience advantageous
- Knowledge of Mediterranean cruising, ports, and marinas
- Excellent References needed
- Italian Speaker will be a huge bonus
