Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chaseboat Captain for our Arcadia Sherpa 60 for the upcoming summer season. This is an exciting opportunity for a capable professional who enjoys taking full responsibility for a vessel and maintaining her to the highest standards.

The vessel is currently for sale, and the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring she is presented impeccably for potential viewings and events throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the full maintenance schedule, ensuring the vessel remains in top operational and cosmetic condition
  • Maintain the yacht to a pristine, show-ready standard at all times
  • Prepare the vessel for and operate her at summer boat shows
  • Coordinate servicing, contractors, and routine upkeep as required
  • Operate the vessel safely and professionally for owner and guest use
  • In June, operate a 40ft chaseboat for boss trips while the primary chaseboat captain of the main vessel is on leave

Requirements:

  • Minimum Master 200 or Yachtmaster Offshore (commercially endorsed)
  • AEC 1 (required); AEC 2 preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ previous yachting experience
  • Strong references available
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a vessel without daily supervision
  • High attention to detail with pride in presentation and maintenance
  • Flexible, professional, and proactive attitude

The Ideal Candidate:

This role would suit a self-motivated captain who enjoys autonomy and takes genuine pride in looking after a vessel as if it were their own. The position offers a rewarding level of responsibility and variety, from maintenance management and show preparation to owner operations.

If you are experienced, organised, and ready to take ownership of a well-regarded vessel for the season, we would be pleased to hear from you.
