Summary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chaseboat Captain for our Arcadia Sherpa 60 for the upcoming summer season. This is an exciting opportunity for a capable professional who enjoys taking full responsibility for a vessel and maintaining her to the highest standards.
The vessel is currently for sale, and the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring she is presented impeccably for potential viewings and events throughout the season.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the full maintenance schedule, ensuring the vessel remains in top operational and cosmetic condition
- Maintain the yacht to a pristine, show-ready standard at all times
- Prepare the vessel for and operate her at summer boat shows
- Coordinate servicing, contractors, and routine upkeep as required
- Operate the vessel safely and professionally for owner and guest use
- In June, operate a 40ft chaseboat for boss trips while the primary chaseboat captain of the main vessel is on leave
Requirements:
- Minimum Master 200 or Yachtmaster Offshore (commercially endorsed)
- AEC 1 (required); AEC 2 preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ previous yachting experience
- Strong references available
- Proven ability to work independently and manage a vessel without daily supervision
- High attention to detail with pride in presentation and maintenance
- Flexible, professional, and proactive attitude
