Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruiter to source, screen, and place qualified crew on luxury yachts worldwide. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of the yachting industry and previously worked a yacht crew, excellent interpersonal skills, and a passion for matching the right crew with the right vessels while delivering exceptional service to both candidates and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Placement
- Source, interview, and assess yacht crew in the Interior and Galley department
- Match candidates to suitable yacht positions based on qualifications, experience, and cultural fit
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle from job brief to placement
- Maintain an active database of crew profiles and availability
Client Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with yacht owners, captains, HODs and management companies
- Take detailed job briefs and advise clients on market conditions, salary expectations, and crew availability
- Provide a high level of discretion and professionalism at all times
Candidate Management:
- Review and verify certifications, visas, medicals, and references
- Prepare candidates for interviews and trials
- Provide career guidance and feedback to crew members
Compliance & Administration:
- Ensure placements comply with maritime regulations, flag state requirements, and MLC standards
- Keep accurate recruitment records and documentation
- Update job listings and recruitment systems regularly
Business Development:
- Identify new recruitment opportunities and onboard new yacht clients
- Attend industry events, dock walks, and networking functions
- Promote the agency’s services and brand within the yachting community
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience in yacht recruitment (preferred), or yachting (essential)
- Strong knowledge of yacht crew roles, certifications, and industry standards
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple placements simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- High level of discretion and confidentiality
- Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office
Desirable Attributes:
- Background as yacht crew or shore-based yachting professional
- Fluent in English is essential
- Strong sales skills
- Self-motivated with a results-driven mindset
