Lead Deckhand – 53m Support Vessel
Program: Sport Fishing / Family Use
Cruising Area: Pacific - remote locations with extended periods of time at anchor
We are looking for a Lead Deckhand with a YM200 Certification to join a 53m support vessel operating primarily as part of an exciting sport fishing program, with occasional family trips. This is an active, adventurous role for someone who genuinely enjoys being on deck and working in remote cruising grounds across the Pacific.
The Role
Lead and take responsibility for day-to-day deck operations
Active involvement in supporting the sport fishing team
Tender driving (solid experience essential)
Crane operations and deck logistics
Deck maintenance and ensuring high standards are maintained at all times
Supporting safe and efficient operations during longer days and busy periods
Requirements
Minimum 2 years’ experience on yachts or support vessels
Strong tender driving skills
Experience with heli-ops a bonus but not essential
ECDIS certification a bonus
B1/B2 visa (essential - please do not apply if you do not have in-hand)
STCW certifications up to date with at least a year before recert required. A valid Seafarers Medical Certificate with at least 6 months before expiry
A proven hard worker with a consistently positive attitude, even during long days
