Cruising Area: Pacific - remote locations with extended periods of time at anchor

We are looking for a Lead Deckhand with a YM200 Certification to join a 53m support vessel operating primarily as part of an exciting sport fishing program, with occasional family trips. This is an active, adventurous role for someone who genuinely enjoys being on deck and working in remote cruising grounds across the Pacific.

The Role

Lead and take responsibility for day-to-day deck operations

Active involvement in supporting the sport fishing team

Tender driving (solid experience essential)

Crane operations and deck logistics

Deck maintenance and ensuring high standards are maintained at all times

Supporting safe and efficient operations during longer days and busy periods

Requirements

Minimum 2 years’ experience on yachts or support vessels

Strong tender driving skills

Experience with heli-ops a bonus but not essential

ECDIS certification a bonus

B1/B2 visa (essential - please do not apply if you do not have in-hand)

STCW certifications up to date with at least a year before recert required. A valid Seafarers Medical Certificate with at least 6 months before expiry

A proven hard worker with a consistently positive attitude, even during long days

The Ideal Candidate

You must be hands-on, proactive, and lead by example. You take pride in your work, keep morale high, and understand that some days require extra hours to get the job done — and you show up with the right attitude regardless, take plenty of pride in your work and be happy to see the end result of each project.
