Deck/Stew - 30m - Private
**US Flagged vessel - only considering US passport holders
Yacht & Program
- 30m private, American-flagged vessel
- Based in Fort Lauderdale (Las Olas Marina)
- Operating area primarily the Bahamas
- Owners: Lovely couple in their 70s
- One-month trip planned with just the owners, occasionally joined by two friends for short stays (1–2 nights)
Role
- Role breakdown: approximately 80% Deck / 20% Stew
- Chef/Stew will maintain the interior as needed
- Crew works collaboratively and assists each other as required
- Candidate will have own cabin, shared bathroom with the Mate
- 9am-5pm every single day and weekends off if owner off.
Owners’ Preferences
- Owners travel with two well-trained dogs (candidate must not be allergic)
Compensation & Contract
- Salary: $4,500. Increase after 3 months.
- Health insurance provided (candidate sources own plan; owner covers the cost)
- Contract provided
Requirements:
- Valid US Passport
- STCW
- ENG1
- Driver's license
- Basic Navigation experience
- Tender driving experience is a must (28ft)
Start Date
- Start date: asap. Currently in Fort Lauderdale
- March to Bahamas for 6 weeks
- April back to Lauderdale
- Possibly Caribbean during the summer
