Chief Officer/1st Mate in United States

Summary

POSITION: Chief Officer 

YACHT: 50m MY

USE: Busy charter

ITINERARY: Currently in the US/ bahamas afterwards 

CONTRACT: Rotational (10 weeks on:10 weeks off), no leave for the first 6 months

SALARY: DOE

START DATE: By March 1st 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  •  OOW and B1/B2 visa

  •  Valid STCW, ENG1, and all relevant safety and security certificates

  •  Experience as Chief Officer or strong 2nd Officer stepping up from a 65m+ vessel

  •  Excellent navigational, leadership, and communication skills

  •  Thorough understanding of ISM, ISPS, and PMS procedures

  •  Charter experience highly advantageous

  Bahamas and Caribbean cruising experience.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA Master <200gt / OOW <500gt
