We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Deck/Stew to join an 88ft Motor Yacht with a unique and exciting itinerary. This is a full-time position that offers the best of both worlds: a high-energy summer season in the Hamptons and a flexible, land-based structure in Florida during the winter, working closely with our yacht management team.This is an excellent opportunity for a Florida-based professional looking for stability, variety, and a great work-life balance in the off-season.
Key Responsibilities & Seasons
SUMMER SEASON (High Season): May - October
- Location: Based in Sag Harbor, NY.
- Itinerary: Cruising the Northeast, including short weekend trips to Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and surrounding New York waters.
- Role: Heavy owner usage requires high attention to detail and hospitality excellence. You will manage the interior solo, ensuring the vessel is guest-ready at all times.
- Living: Live-aboard arrangement is provided during the summer season.
WINTER SEASON: October – April
- Location: Based in South Florida (Ft. Lauderdale, Palm Beach, Boca)
- Role: The position shifts to a role within the Yacht Management Company. Duties include maintaining the vessel locally and assisting with local trips or excursions to the Bahamas across other vessels in the management fleet.
- Structure: This period offers greater flexibility. You will receive a Base Salary to maintain the vessel, with an additional 'freelance-style' incentive structure, meaning you earn extra for every trip booked. This structure is open for discussion. Alternatively, this season allows for flexible time off if preferred
- Living: Accommodation is not provided in winter. Candidates must have their own housing in South Florida.
Candidate Requirements:
Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a Stewardess in similar sized vessel. Confident in service, lines and supporting the captain in the exteior when needed.
Location: Must be permanently based in Florida (for the winter season).
Certifications:
* Valid STCW required.
* ENG1 (or equivalent).
* Additional hospitality or service certifications are a strong plus.
* Visas: Must hold a Green Card, US Passport, or a valid B1/B2 Visa.
We are looking for someone who enjoys a "family-feel" boat but maintains high professional standards.
Compensation: TBD
Summer: Industry-standard full-time yacht salary (Live-aboard).
Winter: Steady Base Salary + Trip Bonuses (High earning potential during busy weeks, or flexibility for downtime).
