Water Sports & Activities Manager – UHNW Private Estate

An ultra-high-net-worth private family is seeking an experienced Water Sports & Activities Manager for their private estate in Miami.
This role is ideally suited to a highly competent, safety-focused professional with strong water sports expertise and excellent guest interaction skills. The position involves overseeing all on-water activities while delivering an exceptional, safety-led experience for family and guests.
The family is also open to considering a domestic couple, pairing this role with a complementary position such as Housekeeper, Steward/Stewardess, Interior Manager, or Private Chef.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and participate in all water-based activities (e.g. jet skis, paddleboarding, snorkeling, wakeboarding, towing sports, swimming)
- Monitor weather, wind, tides, and sea conditions to ensure safe operations at all times
- Enforce and maintain water safety procedures and best practices
- Maintain all water sports equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Deliver clear safety briefings to family and guests
- Provide a professional, confident, and approachable presence on the water
- Liaise closely with Estate Management regarding scheduling, guest requirements, and safety
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience in yachting, professional water sports, or marine-based roles
- Strong understanding of marine safety, weather patterns, wind direction, and local water conditions
- Relevant certifications (e.g. STCW, Powerboat Level 2, Jet Ski Instructor, Lifeguard, First Aid/CPR or equivalent)
- Strong swimming and rescue capability
- Polished, discreet, and guest-focused
- Safety-first mindset with calm decision-making skills
