Currently seeking a reliable, organised, and integral House Manager/ Interior Property Manager to oversee the smooth day-to-day operations of a few private residence/s in Narooma, NSW.
Narooma is an up & coming coastal town on the NSW South Coast, with pristine surf beaches, acclaimed eatery’s and epic mountain bike trails, where the rural green meets the coastal blue
The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining well-presented houses in a welcoming and organised environment. The role is varied and diverse and includes looking after the properties, animals and vegetable garden. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic and enjoys working both indoors and outdoors plus thrives on task variety, multi-tasking and managing a range of tasks within working hours.
The House Manager will manage a team of 2 and will also work closely with the exterior manager, farm hands and other core principal stakeholders including the EA.
This is largely a non-guest in managerial position as the owner largely looks after themselves when in residence and the House Manager is not required to perform service or concierge duties but should be on standby for any property issues that may arise
Replacing the house manager of several years, the HM will inherit pre built interior procedures, checklists and interior guides
Core days are Monday to Friday with the possibility of afterhours if needing to tend to an issue
Open to candidates relocating and can temporarily assist with sourcing accommodation until the house manager is able to find a suitable rental (live out role)
Key Responsibilities
- Managing small interior team, daily household operations
- Manage household supplies, inventories, and schedules
- Provide housekeeping and organisational support as required
- Organising and maintaining additional personal items like ice bath, dive gear, gym equip, sports gear etc.
- Errands, Food provisioning
- Liaise with property owners when required
- Ensure the home is turnkey and guest-ready and maintained to a high standard
- Ensuring animals are cared for and maintained
- Ensure vegetable garden is maintained and upkept
- Managing the interior staff effectively
About You
- Highly organised with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and task -management skills
- Ability to work independently and with a great small established team to support
- Previous experience in household management, hospitality, Chief Stewardess or property management similar roles essential
- Your attention to detail for specific preferences is exceptional and you will have a genuine care for what you do. Working in a small team a can-do, hands-on attitude is a must, as is excellent communication.
- Trustworthy, integral, and reliable
- Valid driver’s licence

Salary: $130,000-$140,000 AUD / Year (open to negotiation for very experienced candidates)
