Temporary / Potential Permanent Engineer
Location: Baker’s Bay, Abaco, Bahamas
Duration: 4 weeks (with potential for permanent position)
Salary: USD 6,500
Program: Private yacht, live aboard, minimal guest usage
We are seeking a very hands-on, all-round Engineer for a maintenance-heavy private yacht. This is a sole engineer position, ideal for someone proactive, self-sufficient, and happy to work hard.
The Captain is highly involved and technically capable, carrying out engineering work currently and supporting the role, but the engineer must be confident taking responsibility for daily maintenance and troubleshooting.
The position is open temporarily with long-term potential for the right candidate.
Program: Based in Baker’s Bay with periodic trips to South Florida for provisioning and yard periods. Upcoming plans include a mini yard period in February in Fort Lauderdale and preparation for an Atlantic crossing to the Med.
Requirements:
- Strong hands-on experience and broad technical knowledge
- Comfortable as a sole engineer
- Proactive and hard-working
- Koehler generator and MAN engine experience preferred
- Italian built experience a big plus
- Non-smoker, no party lifestyle (quiet, laid-back program)
