Summary
We are looking for an experienced Chief Engineer to join our 53-meter private motor yacht entering the final stages of construction.
The ideal candidate has strong technical competence, excellent shipyard experience, and the ability to manage all engineering aspects of a modern yacht. A hands-on approach, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to collaborate efficiently with the Captain, shipyard teams, and contractors are essential.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English
- Valid Chief Engineer license, with relevant experience on private yachts of similar size
- Valid STCW Basic Safety, ENG1 medical, and all required travel documents for Europe
- Strong technical competence in mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, including troubleshooting and preventative maintenance
- Proven experience managing engine room operations, maintenance schedules, safety systems, and compliance documentation
- Confidence in overseeing the engineering department, liaising with contractors, and supporting vessel operations during delivery
- Demonstrated leadership and teamwork abilities, with a structured and professional approach
- Excellent diagnostic, problem‑solving, and organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain a professional demeanor under pressure
- Commitment to safety, operational excellence, and maintaining high standards throughout build and delivery phases

Contract: This is a permanent position for a new build delivery in Turkey, aim to become Lead Engineer, rotation when yacht is operational.
