Summary
We are seeking an experienced Chief Engineer for a 45m motor yacht based in mainland Spain to be part of a crew of nine. This is a full time position and as sole engineer, you will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of all engineering systems aboard. You will oversee technical works during yard periods and refits, requiring an advanced level of Spanish to coordinate with local contractors. Med cruising during the summer months, returning to the mainland for the winter season. Candidates must possess a minimum Y4 certification, with Y3 or equivalent merchant tickets preferred, previous yacht experience is essential +2 years or more. The position offers a generous package as well as a leave allowance of 60 days per annum. Shared cabin during the summer season. Start date is the end of February to facilitate a handover with the outgoing engineer.
