2nd Engineer in Italy

Summary

We are seeking a skilled 2nd Engineer to join our team aboard a 52-meter motor yacht, currently located in Italy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in maintaining all technical systems onboard, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of machinery and equipment. Key responsibilities will include conducting regular inspections, managing maintenance schedules, and troubleshooting any technical issues that arise. The ideal candidate will possess relevant engineering qualifications and experience in the yachting industry, along with a strong understanding of marine systems. Candidates should demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills, as collaboration with a crew of 12 is essential.

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA Engine Watch Rating Certificate
• MCA Marine Engine Operator License (Y)
• RIII/3 Y4 Chief Engineer (<200gt <1500kW)/ EOOW III/1 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• 2nd Engineer III/2 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
• RIII/2 Y2 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• RIII/1 Engineer Officer of the Watch (Unlimited)
• RIII/2 2nd Engineer (Unlimited)
• RYA Diesel Engine Course
• MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) Certificate
