Summary

We are seeking a skilled 2nd Engineer to join our dedicated team aboard a 53m motor yacht. In this permanent position, you will be responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in the maintenance and operation of all engineering systems onboard.

Your key duties will include monitoring machinery performance, conducting routine inspections, and managing repairs to ensure the vessel operates efficiently and safely. You will collaborate with a crew of 12, fostering a team environment while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess relevant engineering qualifications, a strong understanding of marine systems, and experience in a similar role.

A commitment to continuous improvement and effective communication skills are essential, as you will engage with both crew and guests during worldwide itineraries. Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)
  • MCA Engine Watch Rating Certificate
  • MCA Marine Engine Operator License (Y)
  • RIII/3 Y4 Chief Engineer (<200gt <1500kW)/ EOOW III/1 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
  • 2nd Engineer III/2 (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
  • RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
  • RIII/2 Y2 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
  • RIII/1 Engineer Officer of the Watch (Unlimited)
  • RIII/2 2nd Engineer (Unlimited)
  • RYA Diesel Engine Course
