Position: 2nd Engineer – Motor Yacht (Refit)

We are seeking a hands-on 2nd Engineer to join a Motor Yacht currently in refit in Mallorca. This is a live aboard position for the duration of the refit, ideal for an engineer who enjoys practical work and being actively involved on the tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Engineer with all aspects of the refit
- Carry out hands-on engineering tasks across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and auxiliary systems
- Support contractors and shipyard works as required
- Troubleshooting, repairs, and system testing
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized engine room
- Assist with documentation and refit progress reporting
Requirements:
- Previous experience as 2nd Engineer or equivalent on yachts or commercial vessels
- Strong practical engineering skills essential
- Confident working independently and as part of a refit team
- Good understanding of engine room systems and refit processes
- Relevant tickets and certifications in date
- Positive attitude, flexibility, and strong work ethic
