Chief Engineer – 55m+ Motor Yacht (Refit Project)

Location: Istanbul, Turkey

A 55m+ Motor Yacht is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to join the vessel ahead of a significant refit period in Istanbul.

We are looking for a dynamic and proactive engineer who brings pride, enthusiasm, and a strong can-do attitude to an exciting and technically demanding project. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on involvement and thrives in a refit or project-driven environment.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as Chief Engineer on yachts of similar size
• Strong background in new build and/or major refit projects
• Demonstrated track record in:
• Implementing and managing Planned Maintenance Systems (PMS)
• ISM compliance and safety management
• Overall engineering department management
• Minimum Y1 / Y2 CoC or equivalent
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• Ability to work closely with shipyards, contractors, and management teams

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/2 Y2 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
• RIII/2 Y1 Chief Engineer (<3000gt <9000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<3000gt <9000kW)
