Summary
We are looking for a dedicated Deckhand / Asst Engineer to join our team aboard a 40m motor yacht in the Caribbean Sea. In this permanent role, you will work within a crew of nine, contributing to the vessel's daily operations and maintenance. Key responsibilities include performing general deck duties, assisting with mooring and anchoring, maintaining the exterior cleanliness, driving jet tender and providing support to fellow crew members as needed and helping in the Engine room as asst. engineer. The split between Deck and Engineering is about 80/20%. The ideal candidate has at least a season on a busy charter yach to at least a year on private. He is dedicated and full of energy, have a strong work ethic, excellent teamwork skills, and a readiness to learn. Previous experience in a similar position, driving jet tenders, valid PBL2 or higher for the deck side and minimum AEC 1 and preferably holding AEC 2 as well for the engineering ticket requirement by Flag. Depending on experience the package is above industry standard, busy charter vessel, low crew turnover, training budget, bonus program and caring owners.
