Summary
We have a fantastic opportunity available for a rotational Purser to join an 80m recently launched private M/Y.
- The ideal candidate will have a few years’ experience in a similar role and may be looking to move up in yacht size or take on a rotational position for the first time.
- They will also consider candidates with larger yacht Chief Stew experience and a financial background that might be looking for their first Purser position.
- This is a lovely private vessel with incredible owners who truly look after their crew, resulting in high crew retention. Many crew members have been with the owners for a long time and assisted with the build. We are looking for someone willing to commit to the program long-term.
- Personality plays a huge part in the hiring process. For them, this is equally as important as the experience on your CV. They have a no-nonsense, energetic crew that all get along and they want to keep it that way.
- The yacht is currently completing its first Caribbean season. Following this, they will head to the US as they have a yard period booked for a few months over the summer. Future cruising plans beyond this are yet to be confirmed, but there are many possibilities.
- Please note that candidates must hold a US passport or a green card. This is due to the flag state of the yacht.
- This is a time for time rotational role, with an excellent salary and bonus scheme on offer.
- At this stage, the salary is very much DOE and will be discussed at interview stage.
- They would ideally like someone to join them around the start of February so that the arriving candidate will have plenty of time to run through an in-depth handover.
