Summary
We’re seeking an experienced, proactive Hands on Deck - First Mate to join our professional crew aboard a well-maintained 39m private motor yacht. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who leads by example, takes pride in their work, and enjoys being involved in all deck operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing and participating in daily deck operations, maintenance, and washdowns
- Managing a small deck team and maintaining high standards of seamanship
- Assisting with navigation, watchkeeping, and tender operations
- Working closely with the Captain to ensure smooth running of the vessel
- Overseeing safety drills, Mini ISM/ISPS compliance, and general deck upkeep
The ideal candidate:
- Holds OOW (Yacht <3000GT) or minimum Yachtmaster Offshore
- Has strong tender driving and water sports experience
- Is practical, hardworking, and organized, with a positive, can-do attitude
- Enjoys being part of a close-knit, professional crew
- Previous experience on vessels 35m+ preferred
