Summary
Temporary Deckhand/Carpenter
We are seeking a temporary deckhand with strong carpentry skills to join our team during an upcoming shipyard period, for +/- 3 months, in south Florida. The role is ideal for a hands-on deckhand who is confident working with wood, starboard, composite materials, power tools, and detailed finishing work, and who is comfortable operating in a busy shipyard environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with general deck duties
- Carpentry work including repairs, modifications, fabrication, and finishing work
- Supporting yard projects alongside crew and contractors
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area
Requirements
- Previous yacht deckhand experience
- Proven carpentry experience (yacht, marine, or shore-based)
- Comfortable using hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Valid B1/B2, green card, or US citizen
- Valid ENG1 & STCW
