Second Officer – 70m Private Yacht (Seasonal)
We’re looking for a professional, hands-on Second Officer to join a well-run, family-style 70m private motor yacht. The vessel will be cruising the Caribbean with possibly a short stay in the USA.
You’ll be joining a crew of 20 from a variety of nationalities, with a deck team of 5. The team works collaboratively under a supportive leadership structure, and crew longevity is strong.
About the Role:
As Second Officer, you'll play a vital role in the vessel’s navigational operations, assisting the Chief Officer and Captain with:
- Passage planning and bridge watchkeeping
- Maintaining navigational equipment and publications
- Deck operations and maintenance schedules
- Assisting with safety drills and ISM/ISPS procedures
This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
What We’re Looking For:
- OOW 3000GT or higher
- Experience on vessels 60m+, ideally private
- Familiar with ISM, ISPS
- Strong in operations, Tender driving, Jet & Twin Screw
- Planned Maintenance - Proven Experience in shipyard periods, ability to lead and run maintenance projects.
- Valid COC, STCW, ENG1, and GMDSS, B1B2
- ECDIS (Transas) certificate
- Non-smoker, well presented, with no or discreet tattoos
