Summary
Chief Stewardess required for this fantastic and unique 100m+ privately run yacht, with an amazing crew. The yacht needs a “no ego”, professional, calm, hard working, capable, skilled manager 'people person', with positive energy, exceptional high-end knowledge in all aspects of running a beautiful Superyacht interior, and a nice sense of humour.
Rotation is a strict 2:2 which has been set in place. The yacht is part of a fleet that boasts incredible longevity. Growth onboard is encouraged. The opportunities are substantial - you get out what you put in, so they spend time selecting the perfect fit for the culture onboard.
Applicants have to have at least 5 years + onboard super yachts, and proven longevity in a similar role (and sized yacht). No applicants with less than 75m on their CV (in a Chief stew capacity).
Must be someone who has worked her way up through the ranks and earned her stripes, and therefore understands all levels of her own department / workforce’s responsibilities. A candidate who is fit and active, and perfectly at ease in a guest-facing role. Someone who runs her team with consideration and is prepared to invest time in training the team and impart her knowledge to improve standards and systems.
English mother tongue or equivalent level of fluency is essential.
Successful applicant will be an excellent communicator with strong administrative, organisational and time-keeping skills, who leads her team with kindness, and by example. This is not a solely 'behind the desk' position. It is an active role, with lots of variety, so needs someone who can work at a good pace. It would be a case of stepping into a well-oiled machine.
Must boast excellent knowledge in all areas of service, and be able to train the team with confidence. These areas of expertise should, of course, stretch beyond food, and into Mixology, Wine, Coffee service, Cigar service, etc. The candidate should have an interest and thorough comprehension of various cuisine types, and how to serve accordingly. Must be knowledgeable on how to run a meticulous super yacht interior, including having an in depth understanding on how to care for and maintain all surfaces & fabrics. Additional shore-based hospitality experience would be a huge plus.
