First Mate – Private Motor Yacht (New Build 2025)
We are seeking an experienced First Mate to join a private program aboard a new-build 2025 motor yacht.
Program Details:
- Private family usage
- Winter cruising: Bahamas
- Summer still being decided.
- Home base: Palm Beach, FL
- Yard time in Fort Lauderdale
- Professional, family-oriented environment
Position: First Mate
- Assists the Captain with navigation, passage planning, and safety
- Oversees deck operations and exterior maintenance
- Leads and trains deck crew
- Manages anchoring, docking, and tender operations
- Oversee safe operation of watercraft by guests
- Ensures compliance with maritime regulations and yacht procedures
- Hands-on role in a high-standard new-build program
Requirements:
- Previous experience as First Mate or Senior Deckhand on similar-sized yachts
- Strong docking, anchoring, and tender-driving, PWC skills
- Valid STCW, ENG1
- YM Offshore. OOW modules
- Engineering experience / AEC 1 and 2 preference
- US citizen or B1B2 in hand
- Team-oriented, discreet, and professional demeanour
