TEMPORARY ENGINEER – 40m New Build Motor Yacht (Potential Permanent)
We are seeking an experienced and confident Engineer to join a 40-meter new build motor yacht on a temporary contract, starting 18th / 19th December in St. Maarten, running until at least 31st January 2025, with potential to transition into a full-time role.
The vessel has confirmed charters, so the ideal candidate must be able to hit the ground running, confidently stepping into an active program and supporting the smooth technical operation of the yacht from day one. This is a fast-paced, professional environment requiring strong problem-solving skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude.

Dates:
Start 18th / 19th December – St. Maarten
End approximately 31st January 2025
Salary:
USD $9,000 – $10,000 per month NET (DOE)
Contract Type:
Temporary role with potential for permanent employment
Requirements & Attributes:
- Minimum 2 years relevant engineering experience
- Confident working independently within an active charter program
- Strong troubleshooting and preventative maintenance skills
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and safety focused
- Professional, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset
- Excellent references (written and verbal)
Qualifications Required:
- EOOW III/3 (Y4 Minimum)
- STCW with PDSD
- Valid Seafarer’s Medical Certificate
