Summary
We are seeking a practical, hands-on Captain to take charge of a beautifully maintained 38m Classic M/Y.
- As well as spending time in the med, the owner likes to go off the beaten track. So cruising knowledge of the rest of Europe will enhance your application
- Proven Captain experience on vessels 35m+
- Strong hands-on approach and excellent technical awareness
- Solid shipyard and refit experience, including project management
- Confident managing contractors, budgets, and timelines
- Strong navigational skills and confident classic-yacht handling
- Ability to lead, train, and support a small crew
- Calm, practical, and proactive leadership style
- Genuine interest in classic yachts and preserving their character
- Oversee the safe operation and navigation of the yacht
- Manage ongoing shipyard periods, upgrades, and refit projects
- Coordinate contractors, service providers, and yard teams
- Maintain budgets, logs, planned maintenance schedules, and vessel documentation
- Deliver smooth guest operations with professionalism and discretion
- Master 500gt ticket as a minimum
- You must have a good understanding of engineering
- A package of €12,000 and 60 days leave is on offer
