SECOND OFFICER 70M
We are looking for a Second Officer to join a well-run 70m private motor yacht with a dual-season program between Dubai, the Indian Ocean, and the Med.
The role:
- Split role with approximately 30% bridge time and 70% deck involvement
- Supporting the Chief Officer across all navigational duties, bridge operations, passage planning, and watchkeeping
- Overseeing deck operations and leading the deck team day-to-day
- Hands-on tender work, including towing and operating a 16m tender
- ISM/ISPS responsibilities and scheduled safety equipment checks
- Participation in planned maintenance systems (IDEA/Pinpoint) and upkeep of all deck areas
- Start date: ideally in two weeks, but flexible for the right candidate.
What we’re looking for:
- OOW 3000gt minimum
- Ideally 5+ years’ experience onboard, with career progression through the deck department
- 2nd Officer experience preferred, however we are open to a newly qualified OOW with strong bosun experience on larger yachts
- Strong communicator with proven leadership ability
- Confident tender driver with experience managing larger tenders
- Additional skills highly advantageous: Divemaster, avid fisherman, or trade background such as carpentry
