JUNIOR DECKHAND 75M MY:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a junior Deckhand to join a 75m private yacht which is currently based in New Zealand for a yard period. This is an excellent program for candidates looking to gain sea miles while working with a tight-knit, long-standing crew.
The program:
- The vessel is in the yard in New Zealand until end of March
- Following the yard period: Pacific crossing, one-month stay in New York, then across to the Med for the summer season
- Start date flexible - can join ASAP or wait for the right candidate
What we’re looking for:
- Entry-level candidates welcome - prior yacht experience not essential
- Ideally holding transferable skills such as farming, trades, carpentry, construction, or similar hands-on backgrounds
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and enthusiasm to learn quickly
- B1/B2 preferred but not essential
- Candidates located in Australia or New Zealand preferred
What’s on offer:
- Salary: 3500 USD
- Leave: 5:1 rotation for the first year and moving to 3:1 rotation thereafter
