Deckhand/Mate in Virgin Islands (U.S.)

Summary

Mate/engineer needed for 30m sailing yacht. 

This is a couples position, with the chef/Stew position also available. Preference will be given to established teams who have successfully run a yacht together.

Start date: January 1, 2026

We are seeking a professional and hand-on mate with strong technical and sailing competence with a can-do attitude. The yacht will spend the winters in the Caribbean and the summers in the Mediterranean or U.S. East Coast. The yacht is mostly private with some light charter anticipated. 

REQUIREMENTS: Mate to have minimum YachtMaster Offshore with all certifications up to date. Chef/stew must have some culinary training. This is a couples position with chef/stew. Preference will be given to couple who have already run a sailboat and are looking to step up. Yacht is mostly private with a few charters. Caribbean winter and either Med or U.S. East Coast summer. 

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• Drivers License

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RYA Yachtmaster Offshore
