Summary
We have a client based in Port D’Andratx on the island of Mallorca that are looking for a Tender Engineer to join the company.
- The company are authorised and official Mercury & Volvo Penta service agents, so experience with these types of engines would be greatly advantageous.
- For them, they are most interested in hiring a junior engineer with the right work ethic and attitude.
- The company runs currently with 11 permanent staff and is family run. They promote from within as much as they can and they are incredibly focussed around personal development and training.
- You’ll work five days a week, roughly from 08:00 to 16:00. In the summer, most of your time will be spent out on the island, repairing and servicing boats. In the winter, your work will shift to the boat yard, focusing on maintenance and repairs there.
- This could be a great opportunity for either someone already on the island or alternatively someone from elsewhere who is looking to or in the process of setting up a new base in Mallorca.
- Please note that you are not expected to speak Spanish for this role. It would be helpful but certainly not a deal breaker.
- The salary for this role is very much DOE. Bare in mind it is a junior position so this isn’t the job for you if you are looking for a yachting salary and rotation.
- The start date for this position is flexible. They are willing to wait for the right candidate.
