Summary

2nd Officer

100m+ Private yacht is looking for a 2nd Officer with a minimum of 24 months single-handed watch keeping experience and at least 1 year as Bosun or Lead Deckhand on board a 70m+ M/Y. The 2nd Officer will be responsible for assisting the Chief Officer in the overall management and operation of the vessel.

Key Responsibilities:

-            Assisting the Chief Officer in the day-to-day management of the deck department.

-            Supervising and training of crew in all departments.

-            Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and procedures.

-            Maintaining the vessel's navigational equipment and systems.

-            Conducting regular safety drills and exercises.

-            Maintaining accurate records of the vessel's movements and operations.

-            Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the vessel's exterior areas.

You must be confident with all aspects of exterior maintenance and confident in manoeuvring and handling of both jet and propeller driven, single and twin engine water craft of all sizes. Experience in water sports, fishing and diving would be an advantage.

 

Itinerary: Extremely busy worldwide cruising. Shipyard in the US before heading to the Med.

Salary: 5000-5500 per month

Leave: Will start on 90 days/Annum contract. Will probably turn in to a 2/2 rotation shortly.

Start date: 24th of January 2026

Proficiency in rescue boats other than fast rescue boats
