Overview and Opportunity
A dedicated and highly skilled Executive Housekeeper is required to ensure the consistent cleanliness, organisation, and five-star presentation of multiple private residences across the U.S. Based in Washington, D.C., the role includes regular travel to New York and Minnesota to support the Principals when in residence.
The Executive Housekeeper will maintain exceptional housekeeping standards, oversee laundry and wardrobe care, and assist with hospitality service. This is a hands-on role suited to an individual with a background in luxury homes, high-end hospitality, or yacht service.
Key Responsibilities
Housekeeping & Presentation
- Maintain the overall cleanliness, tidiness, and organisation of four residences (NY, MN, DC, and occasional additional homes).
- Carry out all aspects of housekeeping to an exceptional standard.
- Manage laundry, ironing, wardrobe care, and light valet services.
- Ensure each home is guest-ready, freshly presented, and well stocked.
Hospitality & Service Support
- Assist with food service and light meal preparation when the Principals are in residence.
- Support the setup and organisation of small gatherings or events.
- Maintain household inventories, including linens, cleaning supplies, groceries, and speciality items.
Property Support & Logistics
- Travel regularly between residences in line with the Principals’ schedule.
- Assist with household readiness and transitions, including packing/unpacking and property setup.
- Coordinate with the House Manager or external vendors regarding any maintenance or housekeeping needs.
Seasonal & Occasional Duties
- Support seasonal opening and closing of properties.
- Assist with special projects or organisational tasks as required.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as an Executive Housekeeper, yacht stewardess, or luxury hospitality professional.
- Impeccable attention to detail with a passion for maintaining a pristine home environment.
- Service-driven, discreet, and proactive.
- Comfortable with frequent domestic travel.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Strong, verifiable references from prior private employers.
- Valid driving licence preferred.
- Live-in or live-out flexibility (one-bedroom apartment provided for live-in candidates).
