HMG is seeking a Y3-level, highly experienced Sole Engineer to join a newly launched 50m Benetti (2024 build). This is an exceptional opportunity to step into a stable, well-structured program with long-term prospects and a clear path for progression.

About the Yacht & Program
This newly launched Benetti represents the very latest in modern design and reliability. The yacht operates as a private vessel with live-aboard Owners who enjoy time ashore and maintain a balanced, low-stress onboard dynamic.
A well-organised Captain (involved from build) and proactive deck team assist with technical support and tender/toy management to ensure the Engineer’s focus remains on maintaining systems and preventative maintenance.

Itinerary
• 2024–2025: Cruising Southeast Asia (Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, etc.)
• Mid-2025: Relocating to the Mediterranean for warranty works
• Late 2025 onward: Crossing to the Caribbean for the winter season
• Long-term plan: Confirmed and stable itinerary through 2027

The Role
• Position: Sole Engineer
• Structure: Strongly supported by an experienced Captain and hands-on crew
• Cabin: Shared
• Leave: 72 days per year
• Salary: €9,000/month x 12
• Contract: Permanent, transitioning to rotation once performance and compatibility are established
This position would ideally suit a seasoned Y3 Engineer or a 2nd Engineer ready to step into their first Chief role on a new vessel.
The program also includes a larger yacht currently in the pipeline, offering genuine career progression for a professional seeking long-term growth within a stable ownership group.

Key Requirements
• Valid Y3 CoC or higher
• Proven engineering experience on similar-sized yachts
• Excellent preventative maintenance and fault-finding skills
• Hands-on, organised, and self-sufficient approach
