Deckhand/Mate in Australia

Summary

HMG is seeking a Mate/Deckhand for a 39m motor yacht operating in Australian waters.

Foreign flagged, the vessel is available for charters and is used by the Owner. Salary is paid in AUD. Tips are extra.

Shared cabin, 40 days leave, negotiable.

This role requires Yacht master Offshore, AEC 1&2 and Yacht Rating. Would suit a Lead Deckhand looking to move up into a Mate role.

Very good Captain and Owners, the Captain is happy to teach someone about bridge work.

Good work ethic, eye for detail and happy attitude are a must. Must be a team orientated person.

Yacht will organise Visa's as required.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA Yacht Rating Certificate
• RYA Yachtmaster Offshore

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA Approved Engine Course (AEC 1 & 2) Certificate

RYA Qualifications

• RYA Powerboat Level 2
