Lead Deckhand
We are seeking a hands-on, motivated Senior Deckhand with a minimum 2 years experience in yachting, larger tender driving experience (40+ft) and yacht master offshore to join a 65m+ private motor yacht, currently based in the Mediterranean, completing warranty works for the winter. This is a new vessel with a freshly formed deck team, so we're looking for someone with strong deck skills, strong yard/maintenance skills, large tender driving experience, very strong in the water and a proactive, driven mindset to help set the tone onboard. Someone who is able to step up to lead deckhand for 4 months a year.

Salary TBD upon interview, leave is 5:1, courses reimbursed after time served, 13th month, and gratuity from owner (not confirmed but no disappointment yet from the current team!)
Key Requirements:
- Yachtmaster Offshore (minimum) – Must be competent and confident in navigation and small boat handling
- Strong leadership qualities – Able to motivate and guide deckhands positively and effectively, supporting the Bosun as needed
- Highly experienced in deck operations – Maintenance, paint systems, detailing, line handling, anchoring, washdowns, and deck presentation
- Yard experience a bonus – Capable of getting on the tools and leading tasks and contractors when needed
- Proficient chase boat driver – Skilled in operating and maintaining a 45ft chase boat (under tow for passages) and 18ft jet tender
- Watersports experience – Capable of setup, instruction, and guest interaction with a safety-first approach
- Mentorship mindset – Passionate about training junior crew and leading by example
- Excellent product knowledge – Familiar with deck products, systems, and efficient organization
- Team-oriented, proactive, and professional – Well-presented, with a strong work ethic and good sense of humor
- Trade background or high level sports achievements a bonus!

- EU-based candidates preferred for logistics reasons
