2nd Officer in United Arab Emirates

Summary

Requires an energetic candidate with good knowledge of exterior maintenance and operations. The role is both deck and bridge 70% / 30% 

Responsibilities and Duties Include (but not limited to): 

OOW, passage planning, nav updates and chart maintenance 

Guest Activities (including tender driving and excursion planning) 

LSA/FFE maintenance  

Inventories & Stock Control 

Work Lists 

Once established in the role, overall management and supervision of the deck department  

Candidates should be: Flexible, Self-motivated  

Salary and leave negotiable. 

This is not a rotation position.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)
• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)

Master/Skipper Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• MCA CoC Officer of the Watch <3000gt

STCW Modules (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• GMDSS General Operators Certificate (GOC)
• Electronic Chart Display (ECDIS)

RYA Qualifications

• RYA Powerboat Level 2
