Deck/Engineer in United States

Summary

Position: Deckhand/ENGINEER - AEC +

TEAM with a Stew/Massuese or Stew/Crew/Sous chef.

Must be willing to work as a Deckhand while guests are on board and help with Engineering when no guests are on.

License: Minimum AEC 1 & 2 - a YM would be a bonus 

Requirements: Someone with experience on deck and helping in ER. Charter experience ++. 

 6 months + experience ideally

- Typically Engineering with no guests on and Deck with guests on 

- Yacht Rating (or Yachtmaster offshore) is a + but not essential 

- AEC 1 & 2 minimum  

- Trade background an advantage i.e. electrician, mechanic etc.

- Tender driving experience a plus 

- Enjoys all water sports

- STCW + refresher

- ENG1 or current fit for duty marine medical (valid for 6 months)

- High standard 

- Well-spoken and clear communications

- Well-presented - physically fit for duty

 Preferences:

- 100% non smoker

- No heavy drinkers

- Enjoys being active

- Solid character references 

VISA: B1/B2 visa (min. 1 year), Schengen if needed for the Caribbean. Valid passport (min. 1 year).  

Background check and drug testing may apply. 

Responsibilities: This role will typically be Engineering guests off and Deckhand guests on (approx. 70% Deck 30% Engineering) 

Job Specifics: Permanent . High standards.  

Salary range: Within yachting salary guidelines depending on experience.  

Package: 45 - 60 days leave, Tips, bonus plan based on performance and longevity, etc. - to be finalized during interview process. Standard SEA.
