Chief Officer – 50m Private Expedition Yacht
Location: San Diego, USA – Cruising Mexico this Winter
Salary: From USD $7,500/month DOE + 50 Days Paid Leave
Start Date: Full-time, Immediate Start
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Chief Officer (3000 GT) to join a professional team aboard a private, Pacific Ocean–based expedition yacht. The vessel is currently in San Diego and will cruise Mexico for the 2025 winter season, with exciting plans for further Pacific exploration.
Requirements
- Chief Officer 3000 GT (mandatory) or Master 3000 GT (preferred)
- All Safety Officer certifications current and valid
- Strong deck management and tender driving skills
- Proven experience with ISM systems and Classification surveys
- Excellent organisational ability – responsible for bridge administration, drills, safety, and paperwork
- Skilled in troubleshooting, repair, and deck maintenance
- Fishing and diving experience highly regarded
- Must hold a current B1/B2 Visa (valid minimum two years)
- Proven longevity a MUST!
- 3 recent references back previous experience a MUST!

You’ll be working alongside an experienced captain and crew in a dynamic and evolving operation. For the right candidate, there will be opportunities for advancement, including the potential to run the vessel during the captain’s leave periods.
We are also open to couples, where the partner would fill a 3rd Stew/Deck position.
