CHIEF ENGINEER | Minimum Qualification: Y3

We are a 47m commercial motor yacht (Explorer San Lorenzo) seeking an experienced Chief Engineer with a strong focus on precision, safety, and teamwork to join our dynamic crew and the STCW III/2.

This is a rotational position (2:2) starting immediately. The yacht will depart for Caraibbean Season in the next few days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and maintain all onboard machinery, equipment, and systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Manage the vessel’s Planned Maintenance System (PMS), including condition-based maintenance.
• Perform hands-on maintenance and repairs as required on a smaller vessel where flexibility and collaboration are essential.

Requirements:

• Minimum qualification: Y3 CoC (3000Kw)
• Proven experience as Chief Engineer on similar-sized yachts.
• Strong technical knowledge, proactive attitude, and teamwork skills.

Essential Qualifications

Entry Level Qualifications (or equivalent)

• ENG 1 (Medical Certificate)
• STCW 95 (STCW 2010)

Engineering Qualifications (or Merchant, USCG & AMSA equivalent)

• RIII/3 Y3 Chief Engineer (<500gt <3000kW)/ Chief Engineer (SV) (<500gt 3000kW)
