Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Deckhand to join our team aboard a 90m Modern Classic yacht based in Spain for the winter period 2025/26. We are undertaking winter maintenance projects such as varnish, paint and wood work. We will also have a yard period where we will be completing our 20 year survey.
2026 will see us cruising the Med, with both charters and private owner use.
In this permanent position, you will be integral to the daily operations and maintenance of the vessel, ensuring safety and cleanliness at all times. Your responsibilities will include handling lines, operating deck equipment, and assisting fellow crew members with various tasks. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong teamwork skills, a commitment to safety protocols, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, along with relevant certifications. You will collaborate closely with a deck crew of 7 (Chief Officer, 2nd Officer, Bosun, 4 x Deckhands) contributing to an efficient and organized work environment. You MUST have the following to apply:
- Yacht Master Offshore (NON NEGOTIABLE for Safe Manning)
- ENG 1 - Valid/In Date
- STCW - Valid/In Date
- PWC Instructor
- PB Level 2
- Comfortable driving a Limo tender
- Water Sports skills
- 2 Seasons Experience
- Varnish Skills
- Maintenance Skills
On offer is a permanent position with well established deck crew, lots of sea time and tender driving in the summer (Lots of time on anchor) an even split of all tips, 46 days leave + 10 days leave for courses, upto 1500 euros for course after a year onboard.
