Engineer / Mate – Private 34m Motor Yacht
Private 34m motor yacht is seeking an experienced Engineer / Mate to oversee all engineering systems while supporting the deck when required. This role is ideal for someone hands-on, proactive, and keen to be part of a small, relaxed, and social crew environment.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and manage all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, HVAC, and AV/IT systems.
- Daily checks, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and spares management.
- Ensure safety systems and records are kept up to date.
- Assist on deck with docking, navigation watches, washdowns, lines, fenders, and tender driving (up to 30ft).
- Willing to lend a hand across departments, supporting the team wherever needed.
Requirements:
- AEC 1 & 2 (or equivalent).
- Previous engineering experience on yachts of similar size.
- Yachtmaster preferred; strong deck/tender-driving skills required.
- A team player with a positive, easygoing attitude who enjoys a relaxed crew atmosphere.
