An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and professional Service Stewardess to join a prestigious UHNW private residence in Burford. This hands-on position is perfectly suited to a highly service-oriented individual who demonstrates outstanding attention to detail and understanding of both formal and informal household service.
Working as an integral member of the household team, the Service Stewardess will ensure the smooth and seamless running of the home’s daily service operations. The successful candidate will take pride in delivering an impeccable standard of hospitality and presentation, always offering a warm yet refined level of service to the principals and their guests.
Candidates with a background in private service, luxury yachting and 5-star hospitality are encouraged to apply. The role requires a bubbly, friendly, proactive, discreet, and adaptable approach with the ability to anticipate needs and maintain composure in a fast-paced, high-standard environment.
Usual working hours are 5 days per week, 8 hours per day, and shifts are 8 am-4 pm or 1 pm-9 pm, with flexibility required to accommodate the household’s schedule. Weekends will be worked, and two consecutive days off will fall during the week. Time off in lieu will be provided during busier periods.
DUTIES TO INCLUDE:
• Overseeing daily service operations, including formal and informal meal service
• Preparing and serving breakfast for the principals as required
• Managing household provisions, dry stores, and inventories to ensure efficient stock levels
• Always maintaining exceptional standards of presentation, discretion, and professionalism
• Coordinating with other household departments to ensure smooth communication and operations
• Adapting to the evolving needs of the household and ensuring a seamless standard of service
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
• Proven experience in a similar private household, yachting, or five-star hospitality role
• Strong communication skills with a proactive, forward-thinking attitude
• Highly flexible, discreet, and polished presentation
• Excellent knowledge of service etiquette, table settings, and wine service
• Ability to work under pressure while maintaining grace and efficiency
• Must be able to commute reliably to Burford and work flexible hours as required
• Willingness to work five days per week with flexibility, and to take time off in lieu during quieter periods
• Good communication skills and fluent spoken English
• Right to work within the UK
